HYDERABAD: Telangana Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy and IT Minister K T Rama Rao will be launching the prestigious ’Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’ program at Gambhiraopet in Rajanna Sircilla district on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

In the context, KTR expressed his pleasure over launching of the program at the Gambhiraopet KG to PG campus developed under ‘Mana ooru - Mana badi’ along with Sabitha Indra Reddy.

He tweeted a thread on the new campus which houses many a facility including colleges, skill development centre and library.

As part of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's mission of reforming education in Telangana, a new school offering KG to PG education, under the 'Mana Ooru Mana Badi' scheme has taken a definite shape and is thriving.

Under the 'mana ooru- mana badi', children get free education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation. The model education centre is providing free education to 3,500 students in Gambhiraopet of Rajanna Sircilla district.

This ambitious scheme, a brainchild of KCR, which aims at providing education to as many people as possible in the State, is likely to be implemented all over Telangana in a phased manner.

The first KG to PG school in Gambhiraopet, which was inaugurated in July 2022, has state-of-the-art infrastructure. The school is built on 6 acres and has a built-up area of 1 lakh sq ft.

What the school consists of?

The institution has 'Anganwadi' and pre-primary school which admits children between zero to six years of age.


In the built-up area of 11,298 sq ft, the centre houses 12 classrooms with a total capacity to serve over 200 children, a media room, a dining hall, a kitchen, a play area, and a Bhavitha Centre that provides childhood care and education.

It has a primary school built to accommodate over 400 students between 6 and 12 years of age. In the built-up area of 11,298 sq ft, the school houses 12 furnished classrooms, and furnished staff and headmaster rooms.

The high school is built in an area of 21,699 sq ft to a capacity of over 700 students with over 21 classrooms.

The junior college, with its 10 classrooms and over 6,000 sq ft built-up area can serve over 400 students. In addition to classroom instruction, each of the students is provided with a "Gift a Smile" tab. These tabs are designed to help students prepare for competitive exams like Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for professional courses like MBBS and Engineer (IITs).


A degree college, which has a built-up area of over 22,000 sq ft and has a capacity to serve over 840 students. The college has 21 fully-equipped classrooms, digital classroom and integrated laboratories for a wide range of subjects

The school has English, Telugu and Urdu as medium of instruction. It has over 90 classrooms, including digital classrooms, computer and science labs. The KG to PG school also has a dining hall to serve around 1,000 students at a time.

A multi-sport facility spanning over 44,000 sq ft, built with FIFA standard astro turf, where students can play cricket, football, volleybal, athletics, kabaddi etc, is also made available.


There is a library and skill development area which is open to general public. The library has a capacity to seat up to 100 people and can stack up over 3,000 books. The library is also equipped with 12 computers and internet for the public use. The Skill Development Centre aims at developing employable skills/expertise among students. The centre is equipped with 40 computers and an interactive screen for individuals who wish to develop digital skills. The centre also has over 40 sewing machines and is equipped to house further instruments or tools for other vocations.
