HYDERABAD: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy to flag-off Kazipet to Hadapsar (Pune) tri-weekly Express train from Secunderabad Station on Monday.

These trains would be flagged off from platform number 10 of Secunderabad railway station on Monday at 9am. Kishan Reddy would also virtually flag-off Kurnool-Jaipur, Bodhan-Karimnagar, Raichur-Nanded trains.

South Central Railway has extended the Tri-weekly Express Train No. 17014 / 17013 Pune - Hyderabad - Pune (Hadapsar) up to Kazipet, with a terminal change to Secunderabad from October 9th, 2023.

The train would now pass through Secunderabad Railway Station rather than Hyderabad Station to enable the extension of train service to Kazipet. SCR has urged passengers who made reservations to be aware of the change in the station terminal to prevent any inconvenience.

All passengers who booked their reservation by train and shared their mobile number would receive a message about the terminal change.

Indian Railways plans to increase the number of trains operating through Telangana state to enhance passenger accessibility and expand the destinations of various trains.

The new train services would offer additional travel options for Telangana residents, including direct connections to farthest destinations and convenient night travel to Pune for Kazipet residents.

Residents of Shadnagar, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, and Kurnool cities would have direct and convenient travel facilities towards Jaipur direction. Similarly, the people around Sedam, Chittapur, Yadgir and Raichur of Karnataka would now be able to travel to Nanded direction with this extended train service. The people of Bodhan would now be provided with direct train service to Karimnagar and back.

The Karimnagar - Nizamabad - Bodhan passenger special would operate during the day and would be carried by Second General class coaches.

The remaining train services which were being operated to farther destinations would cater to the needs of all segments of the people like reserved and unreserved segments consisting of AC classes, sleeper class and Second General class.

This avoids the hardship of changing the train at the nearest junction station for the rail users and they can directly travel to their desired destinations.
