HYDERABAD: The suicide of PG medical student Preethi in Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal over alleged harassment by a senior student has caused a stir across the state. With the wide range of uproar from the public of all sections, the police who arrested the accused Saif intensified the investigation.

Meanwhile, the remand report of Saif made startling revelations. It stated that police had examined 17 WhatsApp chats belonging to Saif and seized the WhatsApp groups named after Anusha, Bhargavi, and LDD+ knockouts. It is found that Saif who was a trainer to Preeti in the anesthesia department has got a dispute with the latter on two occasions when Preethi wrote an anesthesia report on an accident case last December.

According to police, Saif took advantage of the mistakes in the report furnished by Preethi on the accident case and posted it in the WhatsApp group mocking her saying that she had got the PG Medical seat under reservation category. Distressed over it, Preethi questioned Saif as to what was his problem and warned him that she would complain to HOD if there was any problem.

However, enraged Saif who took Preethi's warnings seriously intensified the harassment asking the other senior student Bhargav to harass Preethi by posting her extra duties in RICU without any rest. As Preethi escalated the matter to HOD Nagarjuna, the doctors counseled Preeti and Saif in the presence of doctors Murali, Srikala, and Priyadarshini.
