HYDERABAD: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president Prof M Kodandaram has given a deadline of 24 hours to the Congress for honouring their alliance and allocating six tickets to them.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) vice president Mallu Ravi called on Kodandaram at his office here on Monday and held discussions on the allocation of tickets to his party. Mallu Ravi said that the demands of the TJS would be placed before the Congress High Command.

Earlier, Kodandaram met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi and proposed a list of candidates to be allocated to the TJS as part of the alliance. The proposed candidates included N Ramesh Mudiraj (Yellareddy), Asappa (Zaheerabad), Vinod (Mudhole), Dharmarajan (Suryapet), Ambati Srinivas (Narsampet), Prakash Goud (Gadwal) and Mohan Reddy (Korutla).

So far, the Congress has not responded to the proposal of the TJS. Kodandaram set a deadline of 24 hours for the Congress to allocate seats.
