HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao has accused the Congress party of "double standards" regarding their proposed nationwide protest against the Adani Group. The Congress called for the protest on August 22, following the Hindenburg Report alleging a nexus between Adani and SEBI.

While welcoming the protest, KTR questioned the Congress's commitment to holding the Adani Group accountable, given their acceptance of Adani investments in Telangana.

"If Adani is wrong for India, why and how is he right for Telangana?" KTR asked in a tweet. He further challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi directly, asking, "Will @RahulGandhi demand CM Revanth Reddy roll back Adani's investments?"

KTR stated that the BRS "stands firm for Telangana's future" and questioned whether the Congress could say the same.
