HYDERABAD: BRS working president K Taraka Rama Rao has continued his attack on the Congress party in general and Rahul Gandhi in particular refuting the latter's allegations of the BRS government resorting to the Rs 1 lakh crore corruption in Kaleshwaram.

Stating that Kaleshwaram turned into a marvel in the irrigation sector, by providing water to one crore acres in the state, KTR advised Rahul Gandhi to visit Kaleshwaram and witness the spectacular wonder, which helped to store the Godavari water and fulfilled the farmers' dreams. He also asked Rahul to know how the water could be lifted with the ‘Bahubali’ motors installed at the project.

KTR said that a project of the size of Kaleshwaram could only be achieved with will and dedication, which Congress doesn't have, and urged Rahul to refrain from spewing venom on the Kaleshwaram, that resolved the water scarcity problem for the irrigation sector.

Further taking a dig at the Congress party, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister said that the problems faced by the people especially the farmers during the Congress regime were overcome by the BRS government and set an example to the country. He asked Rahul Gandhi to visit the surrounding areas in Manthani to witness how Telangana farmlands were transformed from drought-affected to lands that grew two crops.

KTR advised Rahul Gandhi to apologise and take a dip in Godavari water for making baseless allegations on the Kaleshwaram and questioned how one lakh crore of corruption could take place when the project cost itself was Rs. 80,000 crores. He said that Congress has no determination, dedication, or planning to construct such a project in the next hundred years.
