HYDERABAD: High-level teams of international groups dealing with bio-pallets, aerospace, and healthcare products called on IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Sunday during his visit to the United Kingdom. These industries have expressed their interest to invest in Telangana.

A team from Incredible Husk International Group, led by Keith Ridgeway, CEO of Incredible Husk UK, and Ceeka Chandra Shaker, CEO of Incredible Husk India, met him in London to discuss the establishment of their husk pallets & plastic recycling unit in Telangana.

During the meeting, the Incredible Husk International Group team informed the Minister that with an investment of 25 million USD, their proposed manufacturing unit would produce up to 1,000 MT per annum of bio pallets. The company also expressed its interest in collaborating with the Government of Telangana to lay down a roadmap for a cooperative model for collecting husk and reused plastic in the state.

KTR assured them of the necessary support from the Telangana government for their proposed venture in the state.



Greenjets team meets KTR

A delegation from Greenjets, a UK-based aerospace company, headed by its Founder and CEO Anmol Manohar, met KTR. During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Minister of the establishment of Greenjets' Indian operations in Telangana. Minister KTR assured them of the Telangana government's support for the company's plans.

Greenjets has chosen Telangana as its location to enter the Indian drone market, signing an MoU with the National Centre of Additive Manufacturing to be incubated in 2023. It plans to grow its R&D and manufacturing footprint in 2024 and collaborate with a Hyderabad-based motor manufacturer under the 'India-UK Collaborative R&D for industrial sustainability' funding program.

Greenjets develops electric jet engines for sustainable aviation. The company has secured over 5 million USD in investment and grants and has a team with deep domain knowledge from Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, and Formula 1.



Haleon’s Vice-President meets KTR

Damion Potter, Vice President and Global Head of Policy and Government Engagement at Haleon met with Minister K.T. Rama Rao to discuss prospective business opportunities in the Consumer Health sector.

Haleon, headquartered in Weybridge, United Kingdom, with a market cap of around 40.58 billion USD and 22,000 employees, is a key player in the healthcare industry and has a strong presence in the UK. Potter’s discussion with Minister KTR was aimed at exploring potential areas of collaboration between Haleon and Telangana in the field of consumer health.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments, E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Special Secretary, of Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs, and Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri, Chief Relations Officer were present at the occasion.
