HYDERABAD: The four-day visit of Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao to the United Kingdom (UK) to beckon investors to Telangana has got off to a good start. London Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSEG) will be setting up a Technology Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, generating employment for about 1,000 people in a year.

The announcement came after K T Rama Rao’s meeting with Anthony McCarthy, Group CIO, London Stock Exchange Group, in London.


An MoU in this regard was signed between the Telangana Government and the London Stock Exchange Group in the presence of KTR. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments, Telangana, and Anthony McCarthy signed the MoU.

The establishment of the Technology Centre of Excellence by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in Hyderabad is a significant boost to the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector in the city. The move is expected to create ample employment opportunities and drive growth in the industry.

E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Special Secretary, Investment Promotion and NRI Affairs, and Amarnath Reddy, Chief Relations Officer, were also present at the MoU signing ceremony.
