HYDERABAD: On day-two of the UK tour on Saturday, the Telangana delegation led by IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) attracted another major investment into the state. DAZN, a global leader in sports live streaming, announced that it would set up its Product Development Centre in Hyderabad.

This investment is going to create 1,000 jobs for Telangana's youth and the DAZN announcement is being viewed as a testimony to Telangana's rising presence in innovation, media and entertainment.

The announcement was made after a meeting between KTR and DAZN group’s Chief Technology Officer Sandeep Tiku and Board Member and Executive Vice-President, Communications, Daisy Wells, in London.

DAZN, an international over-the-top sports streaming service with a presence in more than 200 countries and a support base of 60 million registered users, streams live and on-demand sports content including major events like UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Serie A, La Liga, English Premier League, NFL, NBA and IPL in other countries.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Telangana IT and Industries Departments; E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Special Secretary, Investment Promotion and NRI Affairs, Konatham Dileep, Director, Telangana Digital Media Wing, Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri, Chief Relations Officer, were also present at the meeting.

Telangana continues to attract more investments

Croda International Plc, a leading specialty chemicals manufacturer, announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art Global Technical Centre (GTC) in Genome Valley, Hyderabad. The announcement came after a meeting between Industries Minister KTR and Daniele Piergentili, President - Life Sciences, CrodaPlc in London.

Established in 1925, Croda is the name behind sustainable, high-performance ingredients and technologies in some of the world’s most successful brands related to personal care, home care, pharma, crop care, and industrial specialties including coatings and textiles.

The Global Technical Centre is a significant step towards establishing Croda’s presence in Telangana, a critical hub supporting India’s position as the ‘Pharmacy of the World’.

Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments, Jayesh Ranjan, and Special Secretary, Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs, E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, were present at the meeting.
