HYDERABAD: Former Telangana minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao stated on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referred to as 'Bade Bhai,' had deceived the country, while his 'Chota Bhai' Revanth Reddy had betrayed Telangana.

Speaking at a roadshow during the nomination program of Malkajgiri candidate Ragidi Lakshmareddy, KTR said, "In the previous election, Revanth Reddy narrowly won in Malkajgiri. Malkajgiri has shown a lot of support for Revanth Reddy. People of Malkajgiri are the reason for getting PCC and Chief Minister posts to Revanth Reddy, yet he hasn't delivered for the constituency.

"If you vote for these migratory politicians, they disappear after winning. I urge voters to elect BRS Malkajgiri candidate Ragidi Laxma Reddy for the Lok Sabha elections and witness his accessibility round the clock. Compare ten years of development under KCR's leadership with a hundred days of falsehoods under Revanth Reddy," said KTR.

Revanth Reddy pledged to waive loans of 2 lakhs, provide one tula of gold to women, and offer Rs. 2,500 pensions. Have these promises been fulfilled? questioned KTR.

"What has BJP accomplished for Hyderabad and Telangana in the last decade? Not even two flyovers have been constructed in Uppal and Amberpet. If we can build 36 flyovers, why hesitate to ask for votes when BJP seeks votes despite its minimal achievements?" questioned KTR.

"If the BRS wins at least 10 seats in Loksabha elections, it will allow KCR to dominate state politics again. Modi is projecting 400 seats and contesting 420 seats but I'm sure they won't even win 200. He pretends to be favorable to Muslims to gain support, knowing he won't win," said KTR.

'Bhai' Revanth Reddy fielded a dummy candidate from Congress in Malkajgiri to favour 'Bade Bhai' Modi. Congress has fielded dummy candidates to aid Modi in several places. Rahul Gandhi accuses 'chowkidar chor hai'. Revanth Reddy labeled 'Modi Hamara Bade Bhai'. Rahul Gandhi denies any liquor scam, Kejriwal calls arrests unjust, but Revanth Reddy supports Kavitha's arrest. Is Revanth Reddy serving Rahul Gandhi and Modi? questioned KTR.

KTR said, "Only the BRS has the courage to oppose the BJP. In 2014 and 2019, only the BRS countered the BJP. Who defeated Etala, Bandi Sanjay, Raghunandan Rao, Arvind, Soyam Bapurao? Only BRS triumphed over all BJP leaders. Don't waste your vote on Congress, lacking the courage to challenge the BJP. Some claim the BJP and the BRS are aligned. If so, would KCR's daughter be in jail? Minorities shouldn't fall for false propaganda.

KTR expressed concerns that Revanth would halt all schemes if Congress were to gain more seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, banking on the assumption that irrespective of fulfilling promises, people would vote for him. "If you want the schemes promised by Congress to be implemented, BRS should win," KTR asserted.

He accused Revanth Reddy of fielding a dummy candidate from Congress in Malkajgiri to benefit Modi, noting that such strategies have been deployed in multiple places by the Congress to aid Modi. Drawing attention to political allegiances, KTR contrasted Rahul Gandhi's criticism of Modi with Revanth Reddy's familial regard for him, stating, "Rahul Gandhi says 'Chowkidar chor hai,' but Revanth Reddy calls Modi his 'Big Brother.' Revanth Reddy's loyalty seems to sway between Rahul Gandhi and Modi."

Turning attention to BJP's track record, KTR criticized their lack of support for Hyderabad's growth, questioning why the BJP had not initiated significant infrastructure projects despite being in power for ten years. He lamented the rising prices under Modi's rule, expressing skepticism about BJP's electoral prospects and asserting that only BRS has the courage to challenge BJP's dominance. He urged voters not to waste their votes on Congress, which he deemed lacking in the ability to confront BJP. KTR cautioned minorities against falling for false propaganda suggesting unity between BJP and BRS and criticised Modi's attempts to stoke religious tensions for electoral gains. KTR reiterated that religion should not be used for votes and emphasised the need for genuine progress and accountable governance.

"Rahul Gandhi is contesting from Kerala and lacked the courage to challenge the BJP. Revanth Reddy will halt all progress if Congress wins. Even if he does nothing, he obstructs all progress. If Congress's schemes are to be realised, BRS must succeed. Let's unite and restore KCR's prominence in Telangana politics," concluded KTR.
