KTR thanks young woman from Massachusetts, says she made his day

HYDERABAD: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister and BRS working president K Taraka Rama Rao was impressed by the appreciation he received from a young woman for deciding on the adoption of orphans by the government.

Taking to his Twitter handle, KTR shared a screenshot of a whatsapp conversation between Pola Niharika of Karimnagar and himself. She had sent a text message to him extending thanks for the great decision. He said that such messages would inspire him to work more for the people despite the criticism.

"Messages like this make it worthwhile to work despite the negativity in politics. From a young woman called Pola Niharika from Karimnagar who’s now pursuing her higher education overseas. This just made my day," KTR wrote.

Pola Niharika who is pursuing her higher education in Massachusetts in the USA, in a personal message to the minister, said that she felt proud to be a citizen of Telangana and lauded the decision to adopt every orphan in the state. Expressing immense support for this initiative, she said she would be grateful to take part in the implementation of the decision and stated that she was one of those orphans who sought strength from the government and was now able to do great work for society.

Pola Niharika in her message wrote, " Dear sir, I feel more than proud to be called a citizen of Telangana now with your new initiative to adopt every orphan in the state. Me and my brother always considered you as our family and you made it true. I wanted to express my immense support for this initiative and I would be more than grateful to take part in its implementation. I am one of those orphans who sought strength from your government and are now able to do great work for society."
