HYDERABAD: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Kalavakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, on Sunday, will assume the office allocated to his portfolio concerned in the new secretariat and sign a crucial file on the first day.

The minister after the inaugural ceremony of the Dr. BR Ambedkar Telangana state secretariat on Sunday afternoon will be stepping into his office allocated on the third floor of the secretariat complex.

As part of his duties on the first day in the new secretariat, KTR has decided to start his duties by signing on a crucial file related to the guidelines framed for the distribution of the double bedroom houses constructed for one lakh poor people in the GHMC limits.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday extended warm wishes to the people of the state ahead of inauguration of the new secretariat. Stating that the new secretariat was built keeping in view the future needs, KCR said that the new secretariat will enhance the reputation of the state at the national level and would help in resolving the issues of the people. He also said that it was the first time in the history of the country that a secretariat is named after Dr. BR Ambedkar.
