HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has expressed anger over baseless allegations made by Congress leaders against him in the phone tapping case. He would be serving legal notices to three Congress leaders including Minister Konda Surekha for defaming him in the case.

In a post on X on Tuesday, KTR said that he would also be serving legal notices to news outlets who publish such news without verifying the facts. He demanded the Congress leaders to either apologise for their baseless and nonsensical allegations or face legal action.

Minister Konda Surekha alleged that KTR had indulged in phone tapping and also threatened a few film personalities. Congress leader KK Mahender Reddy and Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivasa Reddy had filed a complaint to the police that their phones were tapped during the State Assembly elections based on the directions of KTR.

KTR had recently initiated legal action against various television and YouTube channels for airing false news and causing defamation and served notices to about 20 outlets.
