HYDERABAD: A high-powered delegation from French tech company Merio, led by CEO Remi Plenet, met Telangana's Industries and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu on Friday.

Their agenda was to explore the possibility of building cutting-edge technologies right in the heart of Hyderabad. Sridhar Babu was impressed by this unique and first-of-its-kind project in India and readily pledged the State Government's full support.

Meanwhile, the delegation met top officials of the Indian Defence Ministry and visited various Defence establishments. They discussed their ambitious plans to co-develop advanced gimbals with HC Robotics Pvt Ltd.

Meanwhile, Minister Sridhar Babu held a review meeting on the IT sector. His message to the officials was to chart a roadmap to propel the industry's growth across the entire State. He stressed the importance of extending the IT boom beyond the big cities, reaching out to Tier-II and Tier-III towns and igniting their digital potential. With Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and other senior officials by his side, Sridhar Babu urged them to develop proposals for establishing IT parks not just in Hyderabad but also in key towns like Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam and Nizamabad.

The Minister explained that he wanted Telangana to become the undisputed leader in IT exports and job creation across the nation. To achieve this, he emphasized the need for close collaboration between IT officials and the industry.
