TIRUMALA: BRS Malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao has said that his son Mynamapally Rohit will contest from Medak Assembly constituency.

Hanumanth Rao was given a BRS ticket from Malkajgiri, the same constituency he contested in the 2018 election, while his son was not given a ticket at all. Hanumanth Rao, who was in Tirumala on Tuesday, asserted that he would announce his future course of action after discussing with his followers and people of Medak and Malkajgiri Assembly constituencies.

The Malkajgiri MLA said that he would continue to demand a ticket for his son Mynampally Rohith from Medak. Hanumanth Rao on Monday made derogatory remarks against Telangana Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao, accusing him of dictating politics in Medak. Hanumanth Rao said that he would contest for Malkajgiri and expressed his displeasure towards the BRS leadership for denying a ticket to his son.

Meanwhile, BRS party chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) once again gave a chance to Padma Devender Reddy who was sitting MLA in Medak. The same was announced by KCR in the first list of candidates released on Monday.
