Pawan Kalyan calls for demolition of illegal structures with a human touch
Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan supports the demolition of illegal structures by the HYDRAA, but urges authorities to consider the human cost and provide compensation.
HYDERABAD: Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan has expressed support for the ongoing demolitions of illegal structures by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA). While backing the agency's actions, Kalyan emphasised the importance of a humane approach.
"It's commendable that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is using HYDRAA to address illegal constructions," Pawan Kalyan said. However, he argued that preventing such constructions from occurring in the first place would be more effective in avoiding social issues.
Pawan Kalyan acknowledged the necessity of agencies like HYDRAA but urged authorities to consider the human cost of demolitions. He suggested providing compensation to those who lost their homes, even if the structures were illegally constructed.
"While enforcing the law is crucial, we must also consider the human aspect," Kalyan said, advocating for a balanced approach that combines strict enforcement with empathy and support for those affected.
