President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Hyderabad for a two-day visit on a special flight from New Delhi on Friday

HYDERABAD: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Hyderabad for a two-day visit on a special flight from New Delhi on Friday.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, state ministers and officials accorded a warm welcome to President at Begumpet airport. The President will stay at the Raj Bhavan on Friday night.


The President will attend the Combined Graduation parade ceremony at the Airforce Academy in Dundigal on Saturday. She will present wings to the newly commissioned officers of the Indian Airforce, Indian Navy, Coast Guard, and officers from friendly countries who were trained at the Airforce Academy. The President will leave for New Delhi after the parade at the Airforce Academy.

Meanwhile, the city police have issued a traffic advisory for Friday and Saturday on the routes that the President’s convoy will be passing. Traffic snarls are expected on roads leading to Begumpet airport, particularly on Begumpet flyover, CTO Junction, Greenland junction, and Punjagutta junction.

KCR, Tamilisai bonhomie

After a long gap, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao were seen together at the Begumpet airport to receive the President.

A bonhomie prevailed at the VIP lounge when the Governor and the Chief Minister were waiting for the special IAF flight of the President along with ministers. Later they both walked together to the tarmac for a while and parted ways to receive and greet the president.
