HYDERABAD: Congress leader Pawan Khera has said that MP Rahul Gandhi has called upon the party cadre to focus on issues relevant to the common man during the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting instead of walking into irrelevant traps of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking to media, Pawan Khera disclosed the details of CWC meeting, the Bharat Jodo Yatra undertaken by Rahul Gandhi helped the party cadre to discover the roots of movement within the Congress. Rahul Gandhi had asked the party cadre to understand the essence of Bharat Jodo Yatra and ensure the implementation of the guarantees given in Karnataka even in Telangana and other States which were going to polls, he said.

“The Congress is a movement. That’s what Rahul Gandhi tried to remind all of us. He laid specific stress on the need to have ideological clarity. I think all of us should emerge from that hall of the CWC in deep thought,” he said.

Khera also said that Rahul Gandhi asked the party cadre to be focused on the actual reason why the Congress was in politics. “Each one of us in politics should ensure that we hear the voice of Bharat Matha to understand the plight of the common man. Wherever we are in the Government and wherever we are seeking to be in Government should strive hard to take the guarantees into the people and implement them efficiently after coming to power,” Pawan Khera said.
