INDRAVELLI: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that his Government will complete the process of appointing 15,000 constable posts within a fortnight. He said this while addressing the ‘Telangana Punarnirmana Sabha’ public meeting in Indravelli on Friday.

“Appointment of 15,000 constables was not completed because of the ongoing case in the court. The earlier Government did not pay attention to this pending issue. The Home Ministry is with me and we are speeding up the process,” he declared.

The CM said that contrary to the fear-mongering by the BRS leaders Telangana was safe in Congress's hands. “Six guarantees will be completed. Very soon Rs 500 gas cylinder scheme and 200 units of free power scheme will be implemented,” he said.

Coming heavily on the earlier BRS Government for failing to fulfill the aspirations of tribal communities of the Adilabad region, Revanth Reddy said that his Government would adopt Adilabad and complete all the irrigation projects.

“'Jan Jangal Jameen' was the war cry of Komuram Bheem and this region of Ramji Gond is steeped in the valour of tribal warriors. The Congress has already apologised for the excesses committed on tribals way back in 1981 under the then-Andhra rulers, Revanth Reddy said asking the tribal to forgive and move forward for development.

“KCR ruled for 10 years. Has he ever thought of the martyr's families? BRS leaders are like wild boars in a sugarcane field. KCR took Rs 7 lakh crore in loans so why did he fail to complete the Sadarmat, and Tummadihatti projects and repair the Kaddem project,” he pointed out. He reminded the people that it was the Congress Government that handed over appointment letters to 7,000 staff nurses.

Challenging KCR for an aerial review of Adilabad district, the CM said that the farmers were in utter distress due to lack of irrigation despite the BRS Government spending lakhs of crores on projects like Kaleshwaram.

Rubbishing predictions of the fall of his Government within six months, Revanth Reddy said that the people of Telangana would not let KCR and his party return to power. “KCR must go and buy an island somewhere like Swami Nityananda and declare a Government. But coming back to power in Telangana by toppling Congress would be impossible,” he said.

Calling upon the people of Adilabad to elect a Congress candidate as an MP in the ensuing elections, Revanth Reddy said that KCR would sell his MPs to the BJP. He urged them to vote for the Congress so that Rahul Gandhi would become the Prime Minister of the country.
