HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy has threatened that the Congress party will "take care" of officials who are allegedly filing illegal cases against party men.

Speaking at the Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Revanth said, "The Congress will request the Election Commission to remove Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar from his post as he belongs to the Andhra Pradesh IPS cadre."

He also claimed that IPS officers like Cyberabad Commissioner Stephen Ravindra and former State Intelligence chief Prabhakar Rao used to tap phones of Congress leaders. Revanth also went on to add that bureaucrats like Arvind Kumar, Jayesh Ranjan, Somesh Kumar were encouraging people to donate to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and warned that they should start behaving like officers and not like BRS activists.

Alleging that BRS working president KT Rama Rao had submitted a list of 75 people supporting the Congress to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Revanth said, "BRS working president KT Rama Rao himself threatened a few of them. But all this will end in 45 days. After the Congress party comes to power, we will ensure payback."

Revanth Reddy expressed confidence that the Congress party would establish 'Indiramma Rajya' on December 9.

"It is certain that six guarantees will be signed at the LB Stadium. Sonia Gandhi waited for nine years for Chief Minster K Chandrashekar Rao to fulfill his promises to Telangana, but that just like he cheated Sonia Gandhi, he has cheated four crore people of the State.

"It is only the Congress Government which will ensure that the Congress will deliver the fruits of welfare. That is why Soniamma announced six guarantees on September 17 which will be implemented as soon as the Congress comes to power," he said.
