Revanth Reddy protege of Chandrababu; Kishan Reddy patronised by Kiran Kumar Reddy, says Harish Rao

GAJWEL: Minister for Finance T Harish Rao cautioned the people of Telangana not to fall prey to the antics of the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that still worship the anti-Telangana leaders from Andhra Pradesh like Nara Chandrababu Naidu and N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Harish Rao who participated in several development programmes in the Gajwel constituency on Saturday addressed a public meeting in Srigiripally and Said: “Congress chief Revanth Reddy is protégé of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and State BJP chief Kishan Reddy considers another former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy as his teacher, both of them can ruin the lives of the people of Telangana.”
At Mangole village of Kukunurpally, he said that a separate Telangana was carved to put an end to the surrogate rule by Andhra leaders. “What was Kiran Kumar Reddy doing at Kishan Reddy’s oath-taking ceremony as State BJP president and what was Chandrababu Naidu’s proxy Revanth Reddy doing in the Congress,” Harish questioned.
He recalled the days of the Congress rule under YS Rajasekhar Reddy and said that there was absolutely no power under his free power programme. The BJP at the Centre brought three farmer bills to break the back of the farmers the bills were supposed to uplift.
“Now Revanth Reddy says three hours of power is enough for farmers, while Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is for giving farmers a third crop with increased irrigation and 24-hour power,” Harish said.
Later at Gajwel, after handing over Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries, Harish urged the people to drive away forces such as the Congress and the BJP that implement anti-farmer policies. He wanted them to elect KCR for the third time if they want peace and prosperity.
“Chandrababu Naidu tried to purchase our MLAs through Revanth Reddy, when the State was just born. We stood strong and after that, there was no stopping in Telangana’s development,” Harish said adding that even the BJP tried to subvert the people’s mandate by luring the BRS legislators and fell flat.
He challenged Congress and the BJP to implement whatever promises they made in Telangana in the States where their parties were ruling.
