HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday personally released the notification for a Mega DSC (district selection committee) to fill 11,062 vacant teacher posts in the State.

The notification was issued for the recruitment of school sssistants, secondary-grade teachers, language pandits and physical education teachers and special education teachers in primary level in the category of secondary-grade teacher and special education teachers in upper primary/secondary level in the category of school assistant under government and local body schools in the State through DSC-2024.

In fact the erstwhile government -- vide G.O.Ms.No.96, Finance (HRM-VII) Department, Dated 25.08.2023 -- permitted to fill up 5,089 posts of teachers under various categories i.e., SAs, SGTs, LPs and PETs under Government and local body schools in the State.

Further, the then Government -- vide G.O Ms. No. 25 School Education (Ser.II) Dept., Dt. 05.09.2023 -- issued rules for Telangana direct recruitment for the posts of teachers (Scheme of Selection) Rules, 2023.

Accordingly, the Commissioner, School Education, Telangana, on September 6, 2023 had notified the 5,089 posts.

The present Government -- vide G.O.Ms No. 27 Finance (HRM.VII) Department, Dated: 26.02.2024 -- permitted to fill up an additional 4,957 direct recruitment teacher posts under various categories in Government and local body schools in the State.

The current government also permitted filling up of 769 special education teachers in primary level, 220 special education teachers in upper primary and secondary level in the government and local body schools totalling to 11,062 direct recruitment posts for DSC-2024.

In view of the above, the present government decided to cancel the teacher recruitment of DSC-2023 of September 6, 2023 for the recruitment of 5,089 vacancies. Accordingly, the notification was cancelled for the issuance of a comprehensive fresh notification.

However, the applications of the candidates who had already applied in response to the above notification would automatically be carried forward in the fresh notification. They need not apply again.

Accordingly, necessary amendments were made.

The State Government urged the aspiring candidates to apply on line on school education website -- https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in -- from March 4 to April 2 for the recruitment to the posts of SAs, SGTs, LPs, PETs and Special Education Teachers in Primary Level and Special Education Teachers in Upper Primary/Secondary Level in Government and Local Body Schools in the State through District Selection Committee-2024 for (11062) posts in all categories.

District wise notified teacher posts for recruitment was also given.

The government urged the applicants to carefully go through the information bulletin and satisfy themselves about their eligibility for this recruitment, before payment of fee and submission of application.

The information bulletin will be available on website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in from March 4 which can be downloaded free of cost.

The fee to be paid towards application processing and written test is Rs.1, 000 per post. Candidates intending to appear for multiple posts shall pay the fee of Rs.1,000 separately for each post and submit separate applications for each of the post applying for.

The candidates should be of a minimum 18 years age and the upper age limit is 46 years. The age is reckoned as on July 1, 2023. However, the upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable in the following cases:

Telangana State Government employees – up to 5 Years based on the length of regular service.

Ex-Service men - 3 years & length of service rendered in the armed forces.

SC/ST/BCs & EWS - 5 Years

Physically handicapped persons - 10 years

Post-wise qualifications are given in the Information Bulletin.

The written test shall be Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) and will be conducted online at the following centres:

1) Mahabubnagar, 2) Ranga Reddy, 3) Hyderabad, 4) Medak,

5) Nizamabad, 6) Adilabad, 7) Karimnagar, 8) Warangal,

9) Khammam, 10) Nalgonda and 11) Sangareddy.

(b)Candidates can submit their order of preference of test centres in their application. However, assigning of candidates to centres depends on the capacity and availability of centres on that particular date.
