NEW DELHI: CBI Special Judge Kaveri Baweja has granted one week time for the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file a counter to the interim bail plea filed by BRS MLC K Kavitha who was remanded in judicial custody in Tihar Jail till April 9 in connection with the Delhi Liquor scam case.

“About the prayer for interim bail, ED is granted time to file its response by April 1, 2024, and ensure the supply of an advance copy of its reply to the counsel for the accused,” the order said.

The Judge also considered Kavitha’s plea for certain facilities considering her health and background. She directed the Jail Superintendent of Tihar Jail, Delhi to permit Kavitha to have home-cooked food, a mattress, slippers, clothes, bedsheets, books, a blanket, a pen, paper, regular jewelry, and medicines, in accordance with the rules.
