HYDERABAD: The sale of match tickets, both online and offline, have been temporarily halted, according to Hyderabad Cricket Association(HCA) president Mohammad Azharuddin.

HCA President Azharuddin stated that minor incidents would typically happen during such major events, in response to questions posed by Telangana Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud on Thursday. He went on to say that the match was more important than the Gymkhana incident from today.

When the minister questioned him regarding the status of 32,000 tickets, he responded that he wouldn't be able to provide a comprehensive picture until Friday.

Inquiring into the stampede that occurred on Thursday morning, Telangana Sports Minister V. Srinivas Goud on Thursday called HCA officials, including president Mohammad Azharuddin.

Following a chaos at Gymkhana grounds on Thursday morning, more than 20 people were reportedly injured, with seven of them being hospitalised.

The Minister further warned that the Chief Minister K Chandrasjekar Rao would not accept any harm to Hyderabad's brand image and that any irregularities relating to the sale of tickets would be investigated into and resolved. Additionally, he warned to take legal action against anyone selling tickets in the black.
