HYDERABAD: The day before, it was Anganwadi workers and his knows if their salaries were paid at all. They have been pending for three months.

Employees Union representatives told NewsTAP that they had a separate budget and it had to happen as per procedure.

Yesterday, it was Archakas. NewsTAP took the initiative and highlighted their woes. After they had threatened to organise a “Chalo Secretariat”, the endowments department found its feet on the ground.

They came down and mollified the angered priests who were not getting the payment under the Dhoopa Deepa Naivedyam scheme.

They finally budged and paid in 24 hours.

Now, it is the turn of sanitation workers.

The grievance of the workers was that the salaries were not being paid for the last three months

Sanitation staff and patient care security staff working in government hospitals had not been paid since three months. CM Revanth Reddy had been saying that they were paying everyone's salaries on the first of every month.

But, the reality is a complete contradiction of this statement.

The outsourced employees were not being paid.

When will you release these salaries, honourable Chief Minister, is what they are asking.

After all, the adage suggests that cleanliness is next only to godliness.

Now, you know what the importance of cleanliness and also of the sanitation workers in hospitals. Why all this? Please pay a visit to any private corporate hospital and feel the smell and contrast it with the stink in any government hospital. You would knwo for yourself, sir, Mr Chief Minister.

After all, if you pay peanuts, you don’t even get monkeys these days.

So, please pay and then brag.
