Senior journalist roughed up by Congress MLA Rohit in Telangana Secretariat

HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident that occurred on the grounds of the Telangana Secretariat, first-time Congress MLA Mynampally Rohit assaulted, threatened, and harassed senior journalist Siddireddy Srinivas Reddy. This transpired on Monday in the presence of numerous other journalists within the Telangana Secretariat's lobby and has sent shockwaves through the media community.

Apparently, the young Congress MLA from Medak was enraged by comments made by journalist Srinivas Reddy in his YouTube analysis on Rohit during the election campaign. With those comments fresh in his mind, the young MLA assaulted the journalist not once, but twice within the Secretariat's confines; firstly in front of other journalists, and secondly when Srinivas Reddy was alone.

The most alarming aspect was the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the Secretariat while this blatant act unfolded.

Journalists close to Srinivas Reddy said that the MLA's henchmen also threatened the journalist in the parking lot as he was about to leave.
