SURYAPET: At a time when several BJP leaders from Nalgonda district urged the state party leadership not to give the Nalgonda MP ticket to Shanampudi Saidireddy, an audio clip of former Huzurnagar BRS MLA Saidireddy surfaced on social media.

In the audio, Saidireddy expressed his regret to his cadre for not informing them prior to joining the BJP. He mentioned having received a call from the BJP leadership in Delhi, who assured him of receiving the Nalgonda MP ticket.

He was assured by the BJP leadership that they would regain power at the Centre, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi coming back to power for a renewed term, and the BJP securing a minimum of 10-12 MP seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Discussing the intense competition and his rationale for leaving the BRS, Saidireddy informed his cadre that senior leaders and affluent leaders like Ranjith Reddy and Pailla Shekhar Reddy were also apprehensive about the competitive environment within the BRS.

He further alleged that Congress leaders themselves were plotting to dethrone Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and suggested that such conspiracies would find support from BRS leaders.

In his apology to his cadre, Saidireddy said, "I apologise for switching parties without informing you. You have placed your trust in me and worked diligently. When I entered politics in Huzurnagar, the BRS did not have a single Sarpanch. We have elevated the party to a certain level. Let's meet in two days to discuss our next steps."

Former BRS MLA Saidireddy, along with several others, recently joined the BJP.
