HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has expressed confidence that the party will win the Dubbaka constituency and urged the public to vote out the Congress.

Speaking at Daulatabad in Dubbaka constituency on Tuesday, KTR stated that the BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao had failed to deliver on his promises such as assistance to unemployed youth, providing pensions to handloom and beedi workers in his personal capacity, free fertilizers to farmers, free corporate school and hospital, outer ring road for Dubbaka town, and more. KTR stated that Raghunandan only knew how to shout in TV debates and did nothing for the people of Dubbaka.

During his speech, KTR also spoke about how a Congress cadre stabbed the BRS candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy during his election campaign.

“Use vote as a weapon to show the opposition parties their place,” KTR said.

Dismissing the criticism that the BRS leaders were grabbing lands of people in Dubbaka, KTR reminded the people that it was the BRS promised to give complete ownership of assigned lands in its manifesto. He attacked the Congress for its anti-farmer policies and said that Revanth Reddy spoke about providing only three-hour power supply to farmers, Uttam Kumar Reddy called Rythu Bandhu programme a waste of money and Batti Vikramarka said that the Dharani would be replaced with the patwari system.

KTR also highlighted the BRS manifesto and said that some of its salient features included- life insurance cover of Rs 5 lakhs to over 93 lakh below poverty line families on the lines of Rythu Bima, superfine rice supply to all ration card holders under the Telangana Annapurna scheme, a monthly honorarium of Rs 3,000 per eligible woman under the Sowbhagya Laxmi scheme, increase in Asara pension money to Rs 5000, gas cylinder for Rs 400 and increase in Aarogyasri coverage to Rs 15 lakh.

“To suppress the voice of KCR, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Union Ministers and BJP Chief Minsiters of different states are coming to Telangana while Rahul Gandhi from New Delhi and DK Shivkumar from Karnataka of the Congress are also coming here. But a lion-like KCR will fight it alone,” said KTR.

The BRS Working President stated that this election will decide the fate of Dubbaka and Telangana. He asked the people to think wisely and decide on whom to vote for.
