Sonia Gandhi to unveil Rajiv Gandhi statue in front of State Secretariat in Hyderabad
Revanth Reddy laid the foundation for the Statue of the former PM here on Wednesday and said that the place was ideal for the statue of Rajiv Gandhi.

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said that Sonia Gandhi will unveil the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in front of the Dr. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad very soon.
Revanth Reddy laid the foundation for the Statue of the former PM here on Wednesday and said that the place was ideal for the statue of Rajiv Gandhi as there were statues of stalwarts such as Dr. BR Ambedkar, Indira Gandhi, PV Narasimha Rao and Jaipal Reddy in the vicinity of the Tank Bund.
He said that Rajiv Gandhi was instrumental in the telecom revolution in the country. “He sacrificed his life for the Country. But installing his statue must not be limited to occasional floral tributes, but one must follow the teaching of such great people,” CM said.
Terming the foundation ceremony as an event to remember, he said that the Government would install one of the best statues of the former PM in front of the secretariat. He informed the gathering that the Government would invite former AICC chief Sonia Gandhi to unveil the statue.
