Stray dog mauls five-month-old to death in Tandur, Telangana

TANDUR: In a horrific incident, a five-month-old boy was mauled to death by a stray dog on Tuesday in Basaveshwar Nagar, within the jurisdiction of the Karankote police station in Tandur, Telangana.
The incident occurred while Sainath, the infant, was at home asleep, with his mother away at work, while his father, Neelam Dattu, worked as a daily wage laborer in a Tandur stone unit.
Despite being regularly fed by a local resident, the dog attacked and fatally injured the boy. Angry villagers killed the dog following the incident. Police are investigating the incident to ascertain its cause.
