HYDERABAD: The monsoon session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly was adjourned till Friday after adopting a condolence motion mourning the death of five-time legislator G Sayanna of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Thursday.

Introducing the motion Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao remembered the departed leader as a pious and non-controversial politician who was elected five times from the Secunderabad cantonment constituency.

Yakutpura Legislator Syed Pasha Qadri, Roads, and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Bhatti Vikramarka, Dubbaka MLA Raghunandan Rao (BJP), Labour Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy were among others that paid homage to the departed leader.

The Council on the other hand adopted a condolence motion in remembrance of V Venkata Narsimha Chary, ex-MLC of the combined State of Andhra Pradesh.

The Telangana Assembly during the monsoon session would take up the re-introduction of three bills pending with the Governor and a new bill on the merger of the TSRTC with the Government.

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) that would meet on Thursday under the Chairmanship of Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy would come up with the final schedule of the session, including its duration.
