Telangana Formation Day 2023: Fervour marks decennial festivities across state

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Formation Day decennial celebrations were kickstarted across the state with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao launching the 21-day festivities at the Dr BR Ambedkar State Secretariat in Hyderabad on Friday. The Chief Minister, who unfurled the national flag at Pragati Bhavan later launched the celebrations at the secretariat on a grand note besides addressing the gathering.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister and BRS Working President K T Rama Rao led the celebrations at Sircilla District Collectorate. He first paid tributes at the Martyrs memorial in Sircilla town before taking part in the festivities at the Collectorate. He unfurled the Tricolour and received a guard of honour from a police contingent before addressing the gathering.

Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao took part in the decennial celebrations of the State Formation Day at the Siddipet Collectorate. In Medak district, Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav hoisted the national flag as part of the beginning of the 21-day Dasabdi festivities.


Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy unfurled the Tricolour on the Assembly premises while Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy hoisted the national flag on the Council premises. MLCs Thakkellapally Ravinder Rao, Bogarapu Dayanand, Dande Vital, Naveen Kumar and Raghotham Reddy and Telangana Legislature Secretary Dr Narasimha Charyulu were among those who participated in the event on the Council premises.

President of India Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended their greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the decennial celebrations. Murmu, in her greetings, said that Telangana was emerging as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship and wished the state further prosperity. Prime Minister Modi wished Telangana to move forward and do well in the coming days.

The BRS leaders across the state celebrated the day with enthusiasm by hoisting the national flag in their respective constituencies and districts. Government Chief Whip Guvvala Balaraju participated in the Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Achampet and egged on the people to participate in the 21-day-long festivities. Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy paid tributes to martyrs at the indoor stadium in Saroornagar along with martyr Srikanth Chary's mother and others.

BRS MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao took part in the celebrations at Malkajgiri in the Medical district and credited KCR with developing Telangana on all fronts. The celebrations were also held in Jawahar Nagar under the auspices of BRS leader Kondal Mudhiraj.

Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, launched the decennial celebrations in Palakurthi of Warangal district by hoisting the national flag in the presence of the district and mandal officials. He unveiled the plan of action for the 21-day celebrations. The decennial celebrations were also held in the Peddapalli district as well under the auspices of BRS leaders and officials.

Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar participated in the celebrations in Khammam and highlighted the development activities carried out in the district, be it the construction of hospitals, roads, buildings and the cable bridge.

Leaders of the opposition Congress party also marked the occasion by hoisting the national flag in various constituencies. LB Nagar Congress leader Jakkidi Prabhakar participated in the decennial celebrations and hoped that the Congress party would come to power in the next term.

YSRTP also celebrated the Telangana Formation Day at their party central office in Hyderabad. YS Sharimila hoisted the national flag and distributed sweets to activists on the occasion besides making special items at home.

Ministers, MLAs, MPs, and MLCs participated in the celebrations at various locations by hoisting the national flag.
