HYDERABAD: Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, after being at loggerheads for nearly two years with the State Government, has approved Budget 2023-24 of Telangana. The Governor will also address both the Houses of legislature on the opening day of the budget session of the Legislative Assembly beginning on February 3.

The stalemate over the issue ended on an amicable note following an advice from the Telangana High Court on Tuesday. But, the matter was disposed off after the two sides arrived at a compromise in deliberations held at the advocate general’s chamber.

The budget session of the Telangana Assembly is scheduled to commence on February 3, 2023. After a two-day break, the State Budget is expected to be presented on February 6. The Governor, who did not deliver her customary inaugural address last year, is all set to make her first address to the Assembly this time around. The KCR Government is expected to present a budget of over Rs three-lakh crores.
