HYDERABAD: The Telangana Government will launch its 'Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme' for school children for grades 1 to 10 on October 6, 2023.

The breakfast scheme, which was budgeted at Rs 400 crore annually, would be available to all students registered in Government and local body schools on all school working days.

The Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme, also known as KCR's Dussehra gift to school children, is aimed at enhancing children's focus on their studies.

The breakfast scheme, benefiting over 30 lakh students in 43,000 government schools across Telangana State, aims to provide nutritious food for students along with quality learning.

A Telangana-based IAS team visited Tamil Nadu to review the Chief Minister's breakfast scheme, and submitted a report to the government.

Chief Minister KCR was informed that in Tamil Nadu, this scheme was only being implemented for students in primary school. KCR, on the other hand, decided to provide breakfast to high school students as well, regardless of the cost.

The Telangana government aims to enhance students focus on education by providing nutritious food to students from poor families with 'Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme'.
