HYDERABAD: The Telangana Government headed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, which has come to power on the promise of delivering six guarantees to the poor in the State, is gearing up to implement it at a brisk pace.

As part of the scheme, the Government has prepared a standard application form named 'Praja Palana Guarantee Darakasthu' for implementing the guarantee schemes, which was released on Wednesday by Revanth Reddy at the secretariat.

The application form consists of two pages and is designed to be easily understood and filled out within five minutes. The first page includes the applicant's details and address, while the second page includes the necessary information to apply for the guarantee schemes.

The State Government has decided to implement the ‘Mahalakshmi’ scheme, which provides financial assistance of Rs 2,500 to women, as well as schemes such as gas cylinders for Rs 500, free electricity up to 200 units per family, Indiramma houses, and ‘Cheyutha’ for the disabled and others. Applications for these five guarantees would be accepted at Grama Sabha meetings from December 28, 2023, to January 6, 2024.

Going by the application form being circulated online, the first page of the application includes the Telangana State symbol, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's photo, and the ‘Abhaya Hastam’ symbol with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka's photo. It also includes details such as the applicant's name, gender, caste, date of birth, Aadhaar card number, mobile number, ration card number, and address.

The second page includes specific details for each guarantee scheme, such as gas connection number, gas supplying company, number of gas cylinders consumed per year, details of participation in the Telangana movement, relevant case number, details of going to jail, punishment-related details, punishment period details, household electricity meter connection number, certificate number for disabled individuals, and details of living allowances for various groups.

The application should be duly filled out signed, and a photograph affixed by the applicant. Copies of the Aadhaar card and ration card should also be attached, along with the mandatory mobile number. Applicants will receive a receipt upon submission, and separate counters will be set up for men and women.

However, the Government clarified that existing beneficiaries need not reapply for the schemes. It said that those who wished to apply for new schemes implemented by the Congress Government must submit new applications. The Government also sajd that those who had applied for pensions or houses during the previous Government's regime would need to reapply. .

The authorities have finalised the schedule for meetings in villages and wards to receive the applications.
