HYDERABAD: The Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial, being built opposite Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, will be inaugurated next month, Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy has said. On the directions of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Prashanth Reddy inspected the construction works of the memorial.
The minister went around the lamp-shaped structure and gave instructions to the officials and the construction agency on completing the works in time. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the Chief Minister had decided to build the memorial to commemorate the sacrifices of the Telangana martyrs. He said that the memorial was being built with new-age technology. The photo gallery and other features inside the structure would enlighten the visitors about the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Directing the authorities to ensure that the memorial was built as per the ideas of the Chief Minister, the minister asked the officials to accord equal priority to landscaping of the premises and greenery by planting saplings. The minister also advised the construction agency to increase the manpower and complete the works as early as possible.
Roads and Buildings department officials, representatives of KPC construction company, architects and others accompanied the minister on this occasion.
