HYDERABAD: Telangana state government-run residential schools put up an impressive performance in the 10th class results and secured a pass percentage of 98.25.

The overall pass percentage across the schools is 86.6, in which girls with 88.53 percent outshined boys’ 84.68 percent

The SSC Public Examination results were announced by Minister for Education Patolla Sabitha Indra Reddy at the SCERT here on Wednesday.

While Nirmal district topped with an outstanding pass percentage of 99, Vikarabad district stood last with 59.46 percent. However, there are 25 schools in the state that have not registered a single passing student.

The pass percentages of other institutions are Social Welfare Residential Schools- 95.24, BC Welfare Residential Schools - 95.03, Minority Welfare Residential Schools - 94.66, Tribal Welfare Residential Schools - 92.93, Government Model Schools - 91.30, private schools - 90.90, KGBV Schools - 83.86, Ashram Schools - 77.67, Zilla Parishad Schools - 79.47 and Government Schools - 72.39.

The minister said that the advanced supplementary examinations would be held from June 14 to June 22 and the last date for payment of supplementary fee was May 26.

There are 4,84,370 regular students who appeared for the SSC Public Examinations out of which 4,19,460 passed the examination. While 7,492 students appeared privately, 3,335 passed the examination.
