HYDERABAD: The Telangana State education department has completed the arrangements for the conduct of the SSC public examinations from April 3 i.e on Monday. The exams will end on April 13. As many as 4,94,620 students will appear for the exams across the state at 2,652 examination centres set up.

According to the schedule, the exams will be held for three hours from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 20 minutes of grace time is allotted for science and composite papers. The authorities have made special arrangements in the wake of the sweltering heat and allowed the students to travel in RTC buses for free by showing hall tickets.

The Education Department took adequate measures to avoid untoward incidents and deployed 144 sitting squads across the state besides prohibiting the usage of mobile phones at the examination centers.

On the other hand, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has said that the classes would begin for the intermediate first and second year from June 1 after summer vacation. The TSBIE released an academic calendar for the academic year 2023-24 to this extent. According to TSBIE, the colleges will have 77 holidays and 227 working days and the public examinations to be held in first week of March 2024.
