KAMAREDDY: People of Telangana will not have to pay their electricity bills starting next month because the Congress will provide 200 units of free electricity, said TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Tuesday.

"The Congress gave Telangana so that youth can get Government jobs and become employees, doctors, engineers, scientists and become IAS, IPS and IRS officers. But the BRS Government failed to provide employment to the youth in Telangana, and forced them to commit suicide," Revanth Reddy said at a public gathering in Reddypet of Kamareddy constituency.

Revanth Reddy claimed that Telangana's youth would only get Government jobs if the BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao was removed from office. In an appeal to locals to vote for the Congress in Kamareddy, the TPCC president said that if the Congress won the election on December 3, 2023, they would fill the two lakh job vacancies and provide Government jobs to the unemployed youth in Telangana.

Revanth Reddy said, "Despite claims by the BRS party in 2004 during YSR's tenure, the Congress pioneered the idea of free electricity for farmers, a commitment we've upheld. Contrary to KCR's record, we previously allocated Indira Amma houses, and we plan to continue providing housing after forming the Government. Even before anyone could come up with the idea, the Congress gave free power to farmers 20 years ago. Once we get into Government tomorrow, it will be our responsibility to provide 24 hours of free and high-quality power to all farmers," Revanth Reddy added.

Targetting the Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy questioned. "KCR has held several positions, including MLA, MP, State Minister, Union Minister, and Chief Minister, but has he ever done anything for his mother's village Konapur? Did he contribute to the development of the people in this region?

"KCR came here to reclaim the lands of Kamareddy farmers. Nobody in the State buys farmers' paddy for Rs.2,000 but the paddy grown in the KCR farmhouse, on the other hand, was sold to Kaveri seeds for Rs 4,250 per quintal. Can he swear in Rajarajeswara Swamy's temple that this is not true?" Revanth Reddy challenged.

"It is my responsibility to protect the lands from KCR and his relatives who are coming to acquire your lands. Let the Congress win. If the aristocracy's rule ends, people's rule will enter the State, " he added.
