KHAMMAM: Telangana Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has lashed out against former Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao saying that despite giving him many opportunities, he did not deliver anything to Khammam district. Thummala had quie the BRS earlier this year after being denied a ticket to contest the upcoming polls from Paleru.

Speaking at the Praja Ashirwada Sabha in Paleru on Friday, "My friend Tummala is campaigning that I did injustice to him. He in fact had lost to Puvvada Ajay (Transport Minister) in 2014. After BRS came to power, I made him an MLC and gave him a ministry due to the friendship we shared. When MLA Venkat Reddy passed away in Paleru, we wanted to offer a ticket to his wife but since Thummala requested that he will serve Paleru, we gave him a ticket for the by-poll.

"After doing so much, your contribution to the district is a big zero. Now I ask you, did BRS do injustice to Thummala or is it the other way round?" asked KCR.

KCR warned Thummala that criticising the BRS after giving so many opportunities was not politics but injustice and that the people would teach a befitting lesson to him.

KCR stated the Bhakta Ram Dasu project was completed only after the BRS came to power. He also criticised the previous governments for not doing enough for farmers and emphasised the importance of supporting the Rythu Bandhu scheme.

KCR also promised distribution of superfine rice to all ration card holders in Telangana from next March and urged the people of Paleru to vote for Upender Reddy and assured that if he won, the Dalit Bandhu scheme would be implemented throughout Paleru.
