HANAMKONDA: Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) was gearing up to lure the voters of Munugode with massive-scale monetary enticements.

During an interaction with the media after attending an event at Hunter Road here, Bandi Sanjay came up with a heap of accusations against the TRS government with regard to the Munugode by-election. The ruling party is misusing the state official and police machinery to work in its favour in Munugode, he claimed. He said that the ministers camping in the Assembly constituency were simply whiling away their time.

Referring to the phone tapping controversy, the BJP state chief counter-claimed that it was KCR who had struck a deal to secure the Israeli technology. KCR's cabinet colleagues are openly talking about this, he added. Slamming the Chief Minister for his criticism of the BJP, he alleged that both the TRS (BRS) and the Congress had colluded in a bid to divide the anti-government vote. He also accused KCR of secretly funding the Congress candidate in Munugode.

Asserting that the voters of Munugode could not be influenced with enticements, he exuded the confidence that the BJP would emerge victorious in the by-election.
