HYDERABAD: Students from Andhra Pradesh have secured top ranks in the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2023 results that were declared on Thursday, May 25, 2023, by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, (JNTU) in Hyderabad. Telangana Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy formally released the results.

Sanapalla Anirudh of Visakhapatnam emerged topper in the engineering stream and Burugupallu Satya Raja Jaswanth of East Godavari district secured first rank in the AM (agriculture and medical) stream. Eight out of the top 10 rankers in engineering and seven out of 10 rankers in AM stream are from Andhra Pradesh.

Yakkanti Phani Venkata Maneendhar Reddy (Guntur), Challa Umesh Varun (Nandigama), Abhineet Majety (Kondapur), Ponnathota Pramod Kumar Reddy (Tadipatri), Dheerak Kumar (Visakhapatnam), Sanvitha Reddy (Nalgonda), B Sanjana (Srikakulam), Prince Reddy (Nandyala), M Pranathi Sreeja (Vizianagarm) were the other top rankers in engineering stream.

Nasika Venkat Teja (Chirala), Saphal Lakshmi Pasupulati (Saroornagar), Durgempudi Karthikeya Reddy (Tenali), Bora Varun Chakravarthi (Srikakulam), Guru Sashidhar Reddy (Hyderabad), Vangipuram Harshil Sai (Nellore), Sai Chidvilas Reddy (Guntur), G Giri Varshitha (Anantapur) and K Pritham Sidharth (Hyderabad) secured the top 10 ranks in AM stream.

In all, 1,95,275 students appeared for the engineering test with 80.33 percent of them qualifying. Out of 1,06,514 candidates who took the AM stream test, 86.31 percent were declared as qualified. About 85 percent of girls and 79 percent of boys cleared the test in the engineering stream. Even in the AM stream, girls topped by achieving 87 percent as against a pass percentage of 84 secured by the boys.

The exams were conducted from May 10 to May 14, 2023, in both the states. While 1,95,275 attended the exam in the engineering stream, 1,06,000 appeared in the AM stream. Of them, 96.35 percent of students appeared for the examination in Telangana while 92.50 students appeared for the EAMCET in Andhra Pradesh. The overall percentage of attendance was 94.11, with 3,01,789 out of a total 3,20,683 applicants taking the exam in both the sibling states.

V Karuna, IAS, Secretary Government (Higher Education), Navin Mittal, IAS, Commissioner, Collegiate Education and Technical Education, and N Srinivasa Rao, Secretary were also present at the announcement of the results.
