HYDERABAD: The Telangana government, which conducted the Intermediate 2022-23 examinations transparently, announced the results on Tuesday. Minister for Education Sabitha Indra Reddy, along with Intermediate Board officials, formally released the results. Addressing the media after announcing the results, the minister gave a brief outline of the statistics of the results besides thanking the police, RTC, medical, and health departments for their contribution in the smooth conduct of the examinations.

The Intermediate Board released a detailed press note on the results. According to the press note, out of 4,33,082 students who appeared for the first year examinations, 1,60,090 students passed in A Grade followed by 66,335 students in the B Grade, 31,139 in C Grade and 14,475 in D Grade. It amounted to a total pass percentage of 62.85 even as girls, with 68.85 percent, surpassed boys who accounted for a pass percentage of 56.80.

In second-year Intermediate, 2,57,241 students amounting to 68.26 pass percentage, cleared the examinations. These include 1,73,061 students in Grade A, 54,776 students in Grade B, 20,662 in Grade C and 7,742 in Grade D. Like the trend in the first-year exams, the girls outshined the boys in the second year -with a 73.46 pass percentage. The boys achieved a cumulative pass percentage of 60.66.

Among other outcomes, MPC group witnessed the highest number of students passing in both years with a pass percentage of 75.94 (first year) and 72.73 (second year) while BiPC students registered an overall pass percentage of under 60 in both years.

The district-wise data reveals that Medchal stood at the top while Medak was at the bottom in the first year while Mulugu was ranked at the top position in the second year. On the other hand, the government colleges in the state have registered a low pass percentage.

Announcing that the advanced supplementary examinations would be conducted from June 4, Sabitha Indra Reddy appealed to the unsuccessful students not to be disheartened. She urged them to prepare for the supplementary examinations and clear them successfully.
