HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party national president Jagat Prakash Nadda has emphasised the need for a double-engine government in Telangana.
Addressing the gathering at "Bhagyanagar Declaration" meeting here on Sunday, Nadda said that the GHMC blessed the BJP with more than expected number of seats. He recalled the victory of Raghunandan Rao in Dubbaka and Etala Rajender in Huzurabad.
He alleged that the cost of Kaleshwaram project escalated from the originally-estimated Rs. 22,000 crore to Rs. 1.22 lakh crore and it became an ATM counter for KCR.
The KCR family occupied the TRS's car fully and there was no scope for anyone else to grow and the administration became corrupt.
Earlier, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay appealed to people to give the BJP one chance. He lashed out at KCR and the TRS. He likened Modi to "God" in an emotion-choked voice.

The meet is well choreographed as every step seemed to be perfectly scripted as part of the predetermined screenplay. Prime Minister Narendra Modi declined a party scarf offered by BJP leader P Sudhakar Reddy, but accepted a scarf that made him stand out among the leaders on the dais, offered to him by Bandi Sanjay. He began his speech in Telugu. Mind you, do not ignore the presence of teleprompters.
