SIRPUR: BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao said that Congress party leaders have no work other than trying to change the minds of the public with their false promises.

Speaking at a public meeting in Sirpur town, KCR asserted, "BRS party was formed only to protect the rights of Telangana people and we are here to develop the State in all the aspects.

"How will anyone trust the Congress that did no good for the State during their reign," he said.

KCR added that development of Telangana meant development of all the communities in the State and said, "There is harmony among all communities in the State and no religious curfew took place under BRS' governance. Hindus and Muslims are living in harmony today. In 10 years of Congress ruling, it had spent only Rs 900 crore for minority development but our Government has spent Rs 12,000 crore for the welfare of minority people. We will celebrate, Eid, Bakrid, Christmas, and Diwali together."

KCR explained the welfare schemes that were being implemented in the State over the past 10 years and added, "Telangana achieved 100 per cent functional household tap connections and every household is getting piped drinking water through Mission Bhagiratha.

"Today the rate of agricultural land has increased and there is no water cess. We are implementing Rythu Bandhu, giving minimum support price for the farmers and distributed land pattas to the poor," said KCR.

KCR also hit out at the false propoganda of the Congress party and said that no farmer was facing any problem with respect to land registration and it was achieved only due to the implementation of the 'Dharani Portal'.

Praising Sirpur MLA, KCR said, "I know how Konappa strived hard for the opening of a paper mill. Sirpur used to be like Mini India but not the situation is different. We are going to come up with new industries in Sirpur Kagaznagar soon and will bring back its lost grandeur."
