HYDERABAD: Local BJP leader Sairam aka Laddu Yadav landed himself in trouble after the police registered a case against him for taking out a Tiranga rally without permission and also hurling abuses at Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on August 15.

The case was registered at the Afzalganj Police Station J Veerababu under sections 341, 188 and 504 of the IPC. The action was initiated based on a complaint lodged through SMS by Asaduddin Owaisi.

According to the police, Laddu Yadav erected a stage at Begum Bazar Chatri, a place frequented by the public, on August 15 before taking out a Tiranga rally without securing any prior permission from the police. He is also accused of hurling a heap of abuses and making threatening statements against Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who was incidentally passing by the same road on that day.

As per the first information report (No.375/2022), Afzalganj Inspector M Ravinder Reddy received an SMS from the Hyderabad MP who sought action against Laddu Yadav for his behaviour.

The BJP leader was learnt to have been picked up from his house on Thursday morning and shifted to the Afzalganj Police Station. But the police were yet to confirm this development.
