Detractors revolted against KCR always ate a humble pie
Many times, politicians supported KCR only if they were promised a position, and if not, they went against him outright.
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has an interesting providence that always perches him to have an upper hand when comes to those who challenged him within his party and sometimes those from outside.
His detractors, especially those who had revolted against him had to eat a humble pie. There is a legion of leaders who had to cut a sorry figure after taking on KCR.
Many times, politicians supported KCR only if they were promised a position, and if not, they went against him outright.
Even during the Telangana agitation, many leaders from other political parties did not join hands with KCR and the TRS. Instead, they had floater their own parties, which disappeared from the political canvas.
Tulla Devender Goud, a former TDP politician, set up Nava Telangana Praja Party which was later merged into Praja Rajyam Party after which Goud himself left the party to return to the TDP.
Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who had floated Telangana Nagaara Samithi, jhad resigned for MLA's position and sought a reelection. The TRS backed him and ensured his victory. He later joined the BJP and contested as an MP, and lost. He later joined the Congress, losing his political stature.
M Kodandaram Reddy also known as Prof Kodandaram, who was made as chairman of Telangana Joint Action Committee by KCR, went against the Chief Minister and formed his own party – Telangana Jana Samithi. Many people like Cheruku Sudhakar, Chintapandu Naveen and Rachana Reddy, who were supporting him, turned against him.
Former MP G Vivekanand supported KCR during the Telangana agitation. However, he moved to the Congress and when that misadventure has failed, he joined the BJP.
Cheruku Sudhakar and Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, who had supported KCR during the agitation, too turned against him after they were not fielded in elections. They contested from other parties but the result doomed their careers.
Other politicians like Epuri Somaiya, D Ravindra Naik, A Chandrasekhar, Swami Goud, Ramulu Nayak, K Dilip kumar, Etela Rajendar and many more also only had to leave sulking after demonstrating their impudence. Their failure can be ascribed to the greed for a political positions and they did not move forward with Telangana development as their agenda.
Intelligent people adjusted with KCR even though their positions were not renewed due to extraneous political compulsions.
