Does Komatireddy Venkat Reddy want Revanth Reddy out from the Chief Minister's post?

HYDERABAD: What did Komatireddy Venkat Reddy want to communicate when he said “we would support if Harish Rao if he opposes KCR and comes out”?

Minister Komatireddy Venklat Reddy said in the Telangana Assembly lobbies on Thursday that Harish Rao’s comments were apparently intended at “backstabbing KCR and KTR.”

It maybe recalled that former Finance Minister T Harish Rao said on Wednesday that he could take over the reins of the Chief Minister and show how to govern, if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy did not know how to go about his job. He had said: “If Revanth Reddy doesn’t know how to give water to farmers, we will show. Let this government admit that and resign. We will take over and show how to give water. Let Revanth Reddy resign as the Chief Minister. I will take the oath as the Chief Minister and show.”

Referring to these observations, Venkat Reddy said that Harish Rao appeared to be in a plan to become the Chief Minister.

He hastened to add that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi would split along the lines of KTR, Kavitha and Harish into different parts. Harish Rao could not become the BRS legislature party leader also. If desired so, he needed the support of at least 20 MLAs.

Making trivial comments, the minister said that KCR was walking with the help of a hand stick. “How can he be a tiger? If a person of 60 kg weight can be a tiger, what should I be with 86 kg weight?” He said in the same breath that the Congress Government would continue in the State for another 20 years.

Though Komatireddy Venkat Reddy made these remarks in a sarcastic manner, his observation that “we will support Harish Rao, if he opposes KCR and comes out,” created a stir within the Congress.

If Harish Rao really comes out, would Komatireddy and co support him? Does he mean to say he can overthrow Revanth Reddy to support Harish Rao as the Chief Minister?
