HYDERABAD: GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, who inspected the works at Begumpet Rasoolpura Nala on Saturday, saw the water stagnating at some places and ordered to clear them immediately. Going around with Deputy Commissioner Mukunda Reddy, she had received complaints from the local people that they were having trouble due to the height of the road, ordered the CRMP engineers to fix it immediately.
The Mayor is also monitoring the citizen complaints and the situation in the city from GHMC control room in Hyderabad.
The GHMC, on the orders of the Telangana Government, has been carrying out SNDP (strategic nala development programme) works at Rasoolpura in Hyderabad to prevent flooding during the monsoons.
It has become an inconvenience for the citizens who take the Begumpet road to reach either Secunderabad or Banjara Hills areas and directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to complete the works soon.
