Ten formidable teams are set to battle it out for the prestigious title of world champions in this tournament. The action will kick off with defending champions England facing New Zealand in the opening match, igniting the tournament with fierce competition.

The league stage will see a total of 45 matches, with each participating team playing a match against the other nine. The lineup India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the Netherlands. There will be three knockout games, including two semifinals and the grand final, scheduled to be held on November 19.

The matches will be spread across ten Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Dharamsala, and Lucknow.

India's journey in the league stage will commence on October 8 when they face Australia in Chennai, a showdown eagerly awaited by fans. Another date circled on cricket calendars is October 14 when India takes on arch-rivals Pakistan in Ahmedabad.

The World Cup fever has swept across the entire Indian sub-continent, leading to a frenzy in ticket sales. Such is the fervour that even Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli has urged his friends to refrain from seeking tickets, suggesting they enjoy the matches from the comfort of their homes.
